BRIDGE LEARNING PROGRAMMES
GUBBACHI CONNECT
GUBBACHI PROACTIVE
Age group: 6-9 year olds
Primary objective: To integrate out-of-school children into mainstream education.
Approach: A dynamic and flexible Fast Track curriculum suited to the child’s migratory lifestyle, focussing on reading, writing
& numeracy.
Age group: 10-17 year olds
Primary objective: To bridge learning gaps in adolescent and preadolescent children.
Approach: More intensive, working with smaller groups - preparing them for mainstream schooling, NIOS or vocational training.
GUBBACHI BUDS
Age group: 3-6 year olds
Primary objective: To provide sibling support for Bridge Learning programmes.
Approach: Using the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) model.
GUBBACHI TRANSFORM
Age group: 6-9 year olds
Primary objective: To make high quality education accessible to government primary school children.
Approach: Multi-grade multi-level Nali-Kali curriculum implemented in collaboration with the Department of Education.
SCHOOL ADOPTION PROGRAMME
Age group: 3-17 years
Primary objective: To enable quality holistic education throughout the learning journey from preschool to high school.
Approach: Collaborating with the Department of Education to create school complexes in line with the new National Education Policy. Providing support to out-of-school children and those at below-grade learning level.
